Terms and Conditions of Boat Trips

Our Marine Safari/Snorkel Excursions can be very different to other trips. We go further to get you the experience you want so It is your responsibility to read our website which contains information describing the aspects of the trips.

Cancellation Policy

We reserve the right to cancel any trip for reasons such as weather, safety, Vessel issues or unforeseen circumstance our end. If this happens all bookings for that day will be refunded no matter what trip you have booked.

You must give us 5 days notice of cancellation for our full day Marine Safari Trips. This is so we have time to re-book and plan a replacement trip then we will offer a refund. If you give notice of less than 5 days then your deposit is non refundable. This will include missing the vessel departure time and therefore missing the trip.

We ask that you give 48hr notice of cancellation for any of our 5hr Trips and 24 hour notice for cruises or fishing.

These are wild places with wild flora and fauna so we cannot guarantee that certain wildlife will turn up every time but we promise to do our very best to put you in the right place at the right times.

Medical conditions

Please inform us of any medical conditions. You must inform us of such conditions, especially back problems and pregnancy. If you suffer from seasickness then the Safari/Snorkel trips are not for you The decision as to whether to sail will be entirely at your risk. Please also remember you do not have to get in the water on these trips you can also remain onboard the vessel if you don’t feel comfortable. The Vessel Master may refuse boarding in certain circumstances.

Your responsibility: You must inform the vessel master of any difficulties or disabilities that you may have. When on board – please take notice of informed safety procedures.

The sea is a dangerous and ever changing environment and all adventurous activities carry certain risks that cannot be ignored. We do not, therefore, accept any responsibility for any events or incidents occurring outside our control.

If we suspect you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs you will not be allowed to board our vessels and you will not be eligible for a refund.

Safety

Our vessel is inspected by the Marine Coastguard Agency and licensed to MCA code of practice MGN 280. Coded for 10 passengers up to 60 miles off shore. We carry equipment well in excess of the legal requirements and full third party liability is provided for all passengers whilst aboard the vessel excluding personal effects, which are carried at your own risk.

Cariad Y Môr Charters has a written safety policy including standard operating procedures and risk assessments, which are reviewed annually.

All passengers have access to life jackets

Vessel Masters hold professional qualifications and undergo extensive training and carry out out regular maintenance schedule on their vessels including daily and weekly checks
